1. Information We Do Not Collect on Our Servers

Unlike cloud sizing apps that upload hand scans or require mandatory account creation, ActualRingSize computes your physical ring, finger, wrist, and diamond measurements 100% locally in your browser:

• Local-Only Camera & Photo Reference Overlays: If you choose to use the optional “Photo” or “Camera” reference overlay inside the measurement stage, the image or video stream is rendered strictly inside your device’s local browser memory (URL.createObjectURL / MediaStream) and is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any external server.
• No Server-Side Measurement Logs: Your ring diameter, finger circumference, wrist width, and carat selections remain in your local browser session unless you explicitly choose to generate and share a URL link.
• No Mandatory Accounts: You never need to provide a name, email address, or phone number to use any measurement studio on ActualRingSize.

2. Local Browser Storage & In-Memory Calibration

To provide a seamless experience without invasive profiling, ActualRingSize uses standard browser storage mechanisms solely on your device:

• Volatile Display Calibration: Your screen’s calibrated pixels-per-millimeter ratio is stored strictly in active page memory (RAM) and is automatically cleared when you close the tab or resize your viewport.
• Interface Preferences (localStorage): We store non-personal UI preferences—such as your selected theme (Light or Dark mode), language locale (EN, FR, ES, DE, HI, JA), and any ring sizes you explicitly click “Save Reading” to bookmark—in your browser’s localStorage. You can clear these at any time via our interface or your browser settings.

3. Printed Sizing Sheets & Shareable Links

When you click Print Sizing Sheet or Copy Share Link, the summary card and URL parameters (e.g., ?d=16.50&m=ring) are generated locally inside your browser. If you share that URL with a jeweler or partner, anyone with the link will be able to view the measurement encoded in the URL query string.

4. Google AdSense, DoubleClick DART Cookies & Advertising Partners

We may use third-party advertising companies, including Google AdSense, to serve advertisements when you visit ActualRingSize. Please note the following mandatory disclosures regarding how Google and its partners use cookies:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (such as the Google DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites on the Internet.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve contextual or personalized ads to you based on your visit to ActualRingSize and/or other sites on the Internet.

5. Web Analytics, Search Console & Server Security Logs

We use Google Analytics (GA4) with IP anonymization enabled, along with Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, to understand aggregate, non-personal traffic trends (such as page views, device categories, and search queries) and improve site performance. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Our edge hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare / Vercel) also processes standard HTTP request headers solely to deliver pages securely and mitigate DDoS attacks.

6. Your Rights Under GDPR, UK GDPR & CCPA / CPRA

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California), you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information you have voluntarily submitted to us (for example, via a support email), as well as the right to opt out of personalized advertising cookies. Because we do not maintain user accounts or server-side measurement databases, we hold no personal profile data for visitors who use our sizing tools.
